Bivio: A Hidden Gem in the Swiss Alps

Nestled just before the summit of the Julier Pass, Bivio in Graubünden is a renowned destination for hiking and skiing. Despite its proximity to St. Moritz and the Engadin, famous for their lakes and stunning larch forests, Bivio has retained its charming, village character. At 1800 meters above sea level, Bivio is one of the most snow-reliable locations in the Alps, making it a paradise for ski touring and snowshoeing. A village ski lift takes you directly to the ski area, offering 40 km of groomed slopes, ranging from easy to intermediate. Cross-country trails wind through snow-covered mountain forests. In the summer, enjoy well-marked hiking trails that lead to mountain lakes (perfect for trout fishing) and nearby high moorlands. For the more adventurous, Bivio offers horse trekking, mountain biking, a climbing garden, and an indoor swimming pool. Our holiday apartment overlooks this idyllic mountain village and offers a great view of the ski slope.
